The Perseus ALMA Chemistry Survey (PEACHES). II. Sulfur-bearing Species and Dust Polarization Revealing Shocked Regions in Protostars in the Perseus Molecular Cloud

Abstract In protostellar cores, sulfur species are effective probes for the energetic environments, such as shocked regions. With majority of depleted on dust grains, sulfur-bearing molecules could be liberated back to gas phase by shocks associated with accretion and outflow activities. Therefore, gas-phase abundance these may correlated change properties, which can investigated through polarization observations. Here we present a comparison study at ∼100 au scale nine protostars in Perseus Molecular Cloud. Overall, emission correlates high disordered extended continuum eight sources, indicating intense physical conditions (e.g., temperature) and/or properties within regions, while no clear correlation is seen Per-emb-14. For more evolved sources disk structures (Per-emb-50 −18), enhanced SO/SO 2 overlaps stark contrast regions near centrifugal barriers. six CS SO emission, Per-emb-11 -5, enhancement outer edge cavities other filaments probed molecules, revealing soft along outflows envelopes.
